Summerside Police arrested a 43-year old Summerside man this past weekend for possession for the purpose of trafficking suspected fentanyl. Officers were in the St. Stephen Street area and saw the man who was wanted on a Canada wide warrant for violating parole conditions. Officers arrested him and say he was found to be in possession of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, along with numerous prescription pills believed to include oxycodone and hydromorphone. Police also seized a homemade taser, replica firearm and a cleaver knife. The man will be facing a total of ten charges including three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and seven weapons related offences.
