Charlottetown Police say a 47-year old Charlottetown man is facing numerous charges, including Flight from Police, after officers responded to a call about an erratic driver on the Maypoint Road. It was May 18th and police were able to locate the suspect vehicle, but when they tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver sped off heading east on Capital Drive. Police ended the pursuit for safety reasons and later found the vehicle abandoned on Westhill Drive. In their investigation, police were able to identify the driver and seized quantities of cocaine and an unknown substance. The next day, an officer located the suspect and arrested him without incident. Along with Flight from Police, he’s charged with Dangerous Driving, Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and Possession of fentanyl.
