Zach Hyman and Connor McDavid both scored twice as the Edmonton Oilers downed the visiting Dallas Stars 6-1 Sunday to grab a 2-1 lead in the N-H-L’s best-of-seven Western Conference final. Game 4 is Tuesday night in Edmonton. The Panthers look to complete a sweep of the Eastern Conference Final when they host the Hurricanes Monday night.
At the Memorial Cup, the London Knights won 3-1 over the Rimouski Oceanic. On Monday night, the Moncton Wildcats play the Medicine Hat Tigers.
The U-S won gold at the World Men’s Hockey Championship with a 1-0 overtime victory over Switzerland
A banner day Sunday for driver David Dowling and trainer Jennifer Doyle at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway. Dowling drove five winners while Doyle had three wins. Live racing continues Thursday evening at 6 P.M., at Red Shores Charlottetown featuring Grassroots divisions of the P.E.I. Colt Stakes Graduate Series.
