One man arrested after Kings District RCMP respond to knife assault call

A 26-year old man from Beach Point was arrested after an incident in Eastern PEI.  Kings District RCMP responded shortly before 7:30pm Wednesday to a high priority call where a person received injuries resulting from a knife assault. Upon arriving at the home, police were able to take one person into custody and then found another person in the home with significant wounds.  The RCMP provided emergency first-aid, and then Island EMS responded quickly and was able to stabilize the person before taking them to the QEH.  The investigation is continuing, with help from the PEI RCMP Major Crime Unit.
