A rally organized by CUPE PEI was held over the noon hour on Thursday outside the provincial government office on Rochford Street.
The message the rally was sending to Premier Rob Lantz and his cabinet was that public services matter, and so do the workers who deliver them.
CUPE PEI members from education, UPEI, nursing homes, municipalities, and other frontline sectors took part in the rally.
