Economists say they expect to see April inflation go down thanks to the end of the consumer carbon price.
Statistics Canada is set to release its consumer price index figures for April today, roughly two weeks before the Bank of Canada’s next interest rate decision is expected.
Many economists expect April inflation cooled to 1.6 per cent, as Canadian motorists were paying less at the pump that month. Here on the Island, PEI’s inflation rate in March was 1.8 percent.
