The PEI Energy Corporation says the first vessel containing wind turbine components for the Eastern Kings Wind Farm Project is now fully offloaded in Georgetown. As of Thursday, components are now being moved from Georgetown to Eastern Kings over multiple days. Transportation will take place each day after the morning school bus runs are complete. The first morning loads are expected to leave Georgetown at approximately 9am with safety escorts and will take a few hours to travel to the site in Eastern Kings. Additional loads will be transported in the early afternoon before the afternoon school bus runs begin. Disruptions lasting a few minutes can be expected at the Pooles Corner roundabout as loads turn onto Route 4.
