RCMP use GPS to track a truck stolen after a collision

Shortly before 8:00am on Wednesday morning, Prince District RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle side swipe collision involving a car and a tractor trailer on Route 171 in Central Bedeque. Police learned that a Good Samaritan stopped to help at the scene, and one of the drivers involved in the collision stole the Good Samaritan’s truck and fled.  Using the owner’s GPS, police were able to track the vehicle into Queens County where officers were able to stop and arrest the suspect.  A 20-year old man will appear in Summerside Provincial Court on June 18th to answer to charges.
