Robert Mitchell seeking PEI Liberal Leadership

On Tuesday night, Robert Mitchell announced that he is seeking the Leadership of the PEI Liberal Party.  Mitchell is a former MLA, having been first elected to the Legislative Assembly in the May 2007 for District 10 Charlottetown-Sherwood.  He was re-elected in October 2011 and May 2015.  Mitchell served as Minister of Communities, Land and Environment; Minister of Health and Wellness; and then Leader of the Third Party.  The Liberal Party will hold a Leadership Convention on October 4th, and candidates must declare their intent no later than July 4th.
