Red Dress Day ceremonies were held across PEI on Monday. Red Dress Day is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, to recognize and honour the lost lives of Indigenous women and girls. Premier Rob Lantz says P-E-I recognizes the importance of education and its role in ending violence against Indigenous women and girls. He says the province remains committed to advancing programs –such as education — that support the implementation of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Calls for Justice.
