A public information meeting is planned for Tuesday night as The Public Schools Branch seeks feedback as it considers zoning boundaries for Colonel Gray and Charlottetown Rural High Schools when the new Stratford High School in 2027. In late April, the Public Schools Branch Board of Trustees was presented with the Charlottetown High Schools Rezoning Proposal, which included a number of recommendations. The report recommends that as of September 2027, all high school students from the Donagh and Stratford areas attend Stratford High School; all students who attended Birchwood Intermediate and Stonepark Intermediate attend Charlottetown Rural; all students coming from Queen Charlotte Intermediate attend Colonel Gray; and all students completing the Late French Immersion at Birchwood Intermediate, Queen Charlotte Intermediate or Stonepark Intermediate attend the high school designated for their home address. Tuesday night’s meeting is at 7pm in the Charlottetown Rural cafeteria. You can also offer feedback through an online survey available on the Public Schools Branch website.
