PEI led country in voter turnout for federal election

Prince Edward Island led the way with the highest voter turnout percentage in the country for the federal election.  According to Elections Canada, more than 97-thousand of the 123-thousand registered voters on PEI cast ballots, which is a voter turnout of 78.38 percent.  The national voter turnout was about 68-percent.
