Setting Day is Friday for spring lobster fishing season

The spring lobster fishing season will begin with setting day on Friday.  DFO confirmed the start date in an announcement Wednesday.  The season will open at 6am on Friday in Lobster Fishing Area 26A1 along the Island’s southeastern coast in an area from Souris to Victoria, and in LFA 24 on the north shore from Tignish to East Point.  The season will be open through June 25th.
