Professors at UPEI are already starting to heed a warning not to travel to the U-S by the Canadian Association of University Teachers. U-P-E-I’s Faculty Association executive director says she’s already changed some travel plans to the U-S, noting she doesn’t think her union involvement and advocacy work would be looked kindly upon there. Meantime, a U-P-E-I Clinical Psychology assistant professor says she has already made travel plans that exclude the U-S. The Canadian Association of University Teachers president says U-S customs officials are scrutinizing professors who are usually headed to the U-S for work-related activities like conferences or research.
