In his visit to PEI on Monday, Liberal Leader Mark Carney announced that a Liberal government would lower the Confederation Bridge tolls by more than half — from $50 to $20. He said they would also lower costs by at least half for passengers on the Northumberland Ferries route between Wood Islands and Caribou.
Meanwhile, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre was in the Toronto area Monday and was talking about housing. He promised to build 2.3-million homes over the next five years. N-D-P Leader Jagmeet Singh promised to expand pharmacare to cover “essential medicines” by the end of the year.
