The Liberal government releases its fall economic statement today, but Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland has already given a preview.
She’s said it will include tax reforms of a program that aims to encourage businesses to do research and development in Canada.
The government estimates those reforms will amount to 26-billion-dollars in tax incentives for Canadian businesses.
The statement is also expected to show a larger-than-promised deficit and offer details on how Ottawa plans to tackle threatened tariffs by incoming U-S president Donald Trump.
