Prince Edward Island’s economy added 2,700 jobs in November, and the provincial unemployment rate stood at 8.0 percent in November, down from 10.0 percent in October.
Statistics Canada’s November labour force survey shows the country’s unemployment rate jumped to 6.8 per cent last month. That’s up from 6.5 per cent in October, as more people looked for work. It reports the economy added 51-thousand jobs last month noting employment gains concentrated in full-time work.
