PEI ranked 2nd in Canada on energy efficiency

PEI has scored well in a national study that ranks the provinces on energy efficiency.  The 2024 “Canadian Energy Efficiency Scorecard” by Efficiency Canada ranks B-C first, with PEI and Quebec tied for second and New Brunswick in fourth.  Nova Scotia ranks 5th.  The rankings are based on programs and policies that aim to conserve energy in households, cars and buildings and that reduce the use of oil and natural gas.
