A bill that would give Canadians a holiday from the G-S-T on some items is one step closer to becoming law. It passed by a majority of the House of Commons late last night, with the Liberals and N-D-P voting for it. The Conservatives and Bloc Quebecois voted against the bill that now goes to the Senate. The two-month tax break covers dozens of items and would be in effect from December 14th until February 15th.
