PEI RCMP have arrested three people thanks to a 9-1-1 call from a concerned neighbour alerting police to a possible break-in in progress. The call was received about 7:15pm, and West Prince RCMP responded to a home in Alaska. As Police arrived, a 54-year-old Mont Carmel man was quickly arrested, but two other suspects had already run from the scene. RCMP Police Dog Services were brought in and the dog located the suspects, a 53-year-old man from St. Chrysostome and a 33-year-old woman from Cape Wolfe. Police say that because of their behaviour, both those suspects were bitten by the dog, and during the arrest the woman assaulted the dog. All three suspects have been charged and released pending court appearances.
