Little change in home prices from last year in PEI

The PEI real estate association says there was not much change in home prices last month compared to the same time one year ago. The Multiple Listing Service home price index is an indicator used to track home price trends by the PEI Real Estate Association. That index put the overall benchmark price of composite and single-family homes at just over $365-thousand in July 2024, down 0.3 per cent compared to July 2023. Record population growth on the Island in recent years has contributed to high housing demand and higher home prices.
