Corrigan and Team Canada remain in medal hunt in Women’s Rugby Sevens at Olympics

PEI’s Alysha Corrigan will play for a medal at the Olympic Games in Paris.  Corrigan and Team Canada won their Women’s Rugby Sevens quarterfinal against host France 19-14 in dramatic fashion on Monday.   Canada scored the winning try with 53 seconds remaining in the second half.   Canada had advanced to the quarterfinal with a 26-17 win over China earlier in the day on Monday.  It’s a tough semi-final matchup for Canada as they will face powerhouse Australia.  That semi-final game is at 11:00am ADT on Tuesday.
