Free naloxone kits available at dozens of pharmacies across PEI

Free naloxone kits are now available at nearly 40 pharmacies across PEI as drug-related overdoses rise in Canada.  The medication is used to temporarily reverse an opioid-related overdose.  The executive director of PEI Pharmacists Association says having the kit on hand and knowing how to administer it could save a life.  The free naloxone kits will also be available at some community sites.
