The City of Summerside has launched its Downtown Waterfront Transformation project.
With the initiative, there’s an eye on developing a cohesive and connected downtown, where the historic downtown, waterfront boardwalk, and port lands integrate into one dynamic region. To achieve the vision, the Downtown Waterfront Committee has been established, made up of three specialized teams: the Small Business Activation Team, the Transforming our Built Environment Team, and the Special Projects Team.
The committee’s mandate includes delivering recommendations by Spring 2025. The process will involve extensive public engagement.
