Wednesday’s QEH Foundation Big Day of Giving was a resounding success.
Tracey Comeau, the Chief Executive Officer of the QEH Foundation, announced on Ocean 100 Thursday morning that the total raised so far for yesterday’s 2024 QEH Big Day of Giving is $987,117. That number is expected to grow as more donations are set to come in later. As the largest hospital in the province, there are more than $7 million in medical equipment needs every year for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The funds raised are going towards much needed equipment for various departments such as cardiology, midwifery, nursing education, pediatric and neonatal care.
Ocean 100 was broadcasting live from the lobby of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital all day yesterday for the QEH Big Day of Giving, as we celebrated the hospital’s health care professionals, staff, patients and donors.
