Members of the HMCS Queen Charlotte will parade through the streets of Summerside today, marking the 85th anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic.
Every year, the Royal Canadian Navy and Naval Reserve mark the Battle of the Atlantic on the first Sunday in May. Members of HMCS Queen Charlotte will depart the Summerside Legion at 10:30am marching along Court St., crossing Central Ave. to Winter St. then turning south on Summer St. ending at Veterans Memorial Park.
At the Park, a brief service will be held, featuring the Lieutenant Governor, and paying tribute to all those who served in the campaign.
A reception will be hosted at the Summerside Legion after the service.
