The Downtown Charlottetown Farmers Market is on the move again. Charlottetown Council voted Tuesday night to move the outdoor market held on Sundays through the summer to Confederation Landing Park this year. Traditionally, the Downtown Charlottetown Farmers Market has been held on lower Queen Street – but due to safety concerns expressed by Fire, Police and Charlottetown Public Works about emergency access, and a few weeks ago word came that it would be moved to the green space at Founders’ Food Hall and Market. However, some vendors voiced concerns about the Founders’ Food Hall and Market location with regards to accessibility and restrictions being placed on some food vendors. Officials believe the move to Confederation Landing Park will address those concerns.
