The Tim Hortons Easter Seals Ambassador’s School Tour gets into full swing Wednesday. This year’s Ambassador, 10 year old Lucie Gallant, a Grade Five student at École-sur-Mer in Summerside, will visit about 60 schools over 6 days, from today through next Wednesday. Lucie lives in Sherbrooke with her parents Melissa and Chris and her little brother Jackson. Diagnosed on the autism spectrum, Lucie has experienced social and cognitive challenges but is excited to help increase awareness about neurodiversity and the power of optimism with her motto: ‘With a positive mind you can do extraordinary things.’ The Tour begins Wednesday with a stop at Glen Stewart Primary School in Stratford, and then will visit about a dozen schools in the Charlottetown and Central Queens areas.
