Danielle Serdachny’s power-play goal at 5:16 of overtime gave Canada a thrilling 6-5 win over the United States in Sunday’s gold-medal final at the women’s world hockey championship in Utica, New York.
The schedule has been released for the Maritime Junior Hockey League Final between the Summerside Western Capitals and the Miramichi Timberwolves. The series will open Saturday night at 7:00pm at Credit Union Place in Summerside. Game 2 will be next Monday night in Miramichi.
The U14 PEI Wave claimed gold at the Eastern Canadian Ringette Championships on the weekend.
American Scottie Scheffler is the Masters champion for the second time in three years. Scheffler closed with a 68 for a four-shot win. He’s the fourth-youngest player to have two green jackets and now has three wins in his last four Tour starts.
