The Arizona Diamondbacks will attempt to tie the best-of-seven World Series at two games apiece when they face the visiting Texas Rangers Tuesday night at Chase Field. On Monday night the Rangers grabbed a 2-1 series lead with a tense 3-1 victory.
The PEISAA Intermediate Soccer Championships were held on the weekend. Birchwood blanked Queen Charlotte 2-0 to win gold in the AA Boys’, while Stonepark won bronze. The Intermediate AA Girls’ Gold was won by Queen Charlotte 1-0 over Birchwood on Penalty Kicks. Stonepark won bronze. Souris beat Hernewood 1-0 on penalty kicks to win Intermediate A Boys’ Gold, while Queen Charlotte won bronze. Souris beat Hernewood 1-0 on penalty kicks to win Intermediate A Girls’ Gold, and ME Callaghan won bronze.
