Public Schools Branch Zone 7 byelection cancelled as one candidate withdraws

The school board trustee by-election this fall to fill a trustee vacancy in the Public Schools Branch Zone 7 has been cancelled.   Chief Electoral Officer Tim Garrity says that while two candidates were running for the Zone 7 trustee position, one of the candidates withdrew from the election.  Therefore, the by-election was cancelled and the remaining candidate, Jocelyne Ludgate, has been declared the elected winner.  The eligible voters who applied for their Mail-in Ballot will all be contacted.
