Fall Lobster season to start Sunday with setting of gear, then fishing on Monday

The PEI Fishermen’s Association says that in a DFO weather conference Friday, it was confirmed that PEI’s Fall Lobster season in LFA 25 will open at 6:00am on Sunday to set the gear only.  An agreement was made for no lobster fishing on Sunday. Lobster fishing will begin on Monday morning at 4:00am at the opening of the curfew. DFO will be issuing a Notice to Fishers confirming the decision on the opening.
