A Charlottetown Police investigation has begun from a disturbance at a public meeting at Confederation Centre on Wednesday evening during a Town Hall meeting on the proposed Overdose Prevention Site on Park Street.
An angry resident who doesn’t the site to be open in the neighbourhood pushed PEI Housing Minister Rob Lantz in a heated confrontation.
Police say the investigation is ongoing as they review public video of the incident. They will also collect victim and witness statements. Police will provide an update if charges are laid.
