One man was injured in a collision between a transport truck and SUV on Monday morning at the intersection of Route 1A and Route10 in Central Bedeque. RCMP say the injured man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The collision occurred around 10.20 in the morning.
A power pole came down along with wires in the crash. Maritime Electric had to make repairs.
Traffic was diverted through the Dunk River Road for about two hours.
Borden-Kinkora MLA Jamie Fox is calling for changes at the intersection which he says is
dangerous and has more truck traffic in recent years. He suggests speeds need to be slower and it would be a perfect site for a roundabout.
