The MV Confederation, the ferry that travels between Wood Islands and Caribou, will remain out of service Monday morning. Northumberland Ferries says due to the vessel’s ongoing mechanical issues, it has cancelled the 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. crossings from Wood Islands, and the 8:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. crossings from Caribou. The company says an update is expected Monday on the day’s remaining two sailings. The parts required for the vessel’s repair were expected to arrive Saturday according to Northumberland Ferries and the ferry was to be back in service early this week.
