Nanaimo RCMP charge former boyfriend in death of PEI woman

RCMP in Nanaimo, BC have charged a suspect after an 18-month investigation into the death of a woman originally from PEI.  26-year-old Amy Watts, who grew up on the Island before moving to British Columbia, disappeared in May of 2021.  Her body was found in a wooded ravine in Nanaimo in June of 2021.  RCMP say a charge of Manslaughter has been approved against her former boyfriend, 38-year-old Kyle Gordon Ordway.  Ordway is currently in custody on an unrelated matter, and police say his next court appearance in Nanaimo on the Manslaughter charge has not been determined.
