Snow started across much of PEI at about 8:00am on Friday, and how much snow you will get depends on where you live.
Queens County is under a Snowfall Warning and Rain Warning. Prince County is under Snowfall, Rainfall and Freezing Rain Warnings. Kings County has a Rainfall Warning.
For Prince County, the Snowfall Warning is for 15 to 20 cm Friday with heavy snow starting in the morning. The Rainfall Warning is for a period from Friday afternoon into Saturday with 40mm possible. The Freezing Rain Warning is for Saturday with freezing rain beginning near noon Saturday and persisting into the evening.
In Queens County, up to 20cm of snow Friday and 40mm of rain from Friday afternoon into Saturday.
For Kings County, it’s a Rainfall Warning with 40mm expected from Friday afternoon into Saturday.
All classes in the Public Schools Branch and French Language School Board are cancelled for Friday.
All Holland College locations will be closed for the day due to inclement weather.
