There were some motor vehicle collisions reported on Friday evening with rain falling and poor visibility. Charlottetown police responded to some accidents including one near the roundabout by UPEI and the Farmer’s Market on Belvedere around 6.30.
There were 2 cm of snow this morning which resulted poor driving conditions, especially early in some areas.
Poor visibility was reported in the Hunter River area on Route 2 with strong wind.
There was an accident reported at Marie near Morell.
Roads are bare but wet in many areas and you will have to slow down and use caution as more flurries are expected. PEI Stormchaser says PEI could get 10-15 cm of snow beginning late Tuesday night into Wednesday afternoon. The showers or flurries for Friday and Saturday.
Traffic delays again Sunday morning can be expected between Stratford Road and Kinlock Road near the new roundabout as overhead structures will be put in place. That will reduce traffic to one lane with some delays up to 5 minutes during the work. Slow down in the area.
