There was a major power outage in Summerside on Sunday afternoon which resulted from Maritime Electric’s line into the city experiencing technical issues.
The outage resulted in some businesses having to close early.
Mayor Basil Stewart says Summerside Electric started up engines and began cycling power through sections of the city.
There are no Maritime Electric power outages Monday morning.
