The Adventure Group to become new operator of Community Outreach Centre

The Community Outreach Centre in Charlottetown will have a new operator beginning April 18th – The Adventure Group.  The Adventure Group will lead the day-to-day operations of the Centre with support from the Canadian Mental Health Association – PEI Division, Upper Room Hospitality Ministry and ResourceAbilities. The Adventure Group will also have the involvement and support of all members of the Community Outreach Centre Working Group. Social Development and Housing Minister Brad Trivers credits the Salvation Army and the Working Group for the Centre’s evolution over the past two years.   The Adventure Group will be implementing more supports at the Community Outreach Centre including additional case management, access to mental health services and career counselling.  The Centre will continue to be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
