Island musician Koady Chaisson of the three-man band, the East Pointers has died at the age of 37.
The East Pointers won a Juno Award in 2017.
Chaisson played banjo and guitar for the group that includes fiddler Tim Chaisson and Jake Charron on keyboard.
No cause of death has been reported.
They won the Juno for Traditional Grass Roots Album of the Year in 2017 with the album, Secret Victory.
They also won the East Coast Music Award for songwriter of the year in 2020 and in 2019 won the ECMA song of the year for the tune Two Weeks.
