Warren and Brody Ellis of Summerside Chrysler Dodge & Frosty Treat in Kensington hosted a “Day of Giving” on Tuesday. Along with Marlene and Josh Ellis, they will donate $100,000 to local charities across PEI.
Four Island charities will each receive a $25,000 cash donation this week, including the Prince County Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Heart and Stroke Foundation of PEI and the Canadian Cancer Society-PEI Division. Ellis says it’s Christmas and supporting the four organizations is a way to give back to the community. The Ellis Family is also known for their creation and support of the Prince County Hospital Foundation “Grass Roots and Cowboy Boots” annual fundraiser that has raised over twelve million dollars for the Prince County Hospital.
