The two men who escaped from the Provincial Correctional Centre late Sunday night have been captured and arrested. It was about 11:00pm when 31-year old Murray James Todd and 22-year old Brandon Jeffery Quinn escaped from the facility. Charlottetown City Police and the Queens District RCMP worked together in leading the efforts to locate and arrest both men. In separate incidents, Todd was arrested at a local motel in Charlottetown, while Quinn was arrested at a home in Charlottetown. Both men will face charges of Escaping from Prison and will appear in court in June to answer to the charge.
Meanwhile, an investigation has started at the Correctional Centre to determine how the escape was possible, and what measures are required to strengthen all correctional facilities in PEI.
