The UPEI women’s hockey Panthers fought their way back from a 3-0 deficit only to lose in a shootout, 4-3 to visiting St. F.X. Kaylee Dufresne, Taylor Gillis and Maria Clinton helped the Panthers rally. Clinton’s goal tied it up, 3-3 with only 5 seconds left in regulation.
The Northern Moose skated past the Charlottetown Knights, 5-2 in Major Midget led by Jordan Joseph with a goal and assist. Marshall Gallant and Colby Huggan replied for the Knights.
Rookie goalie Cole Gallant picked up the shutout as the Western Red Wings shutdown the Sherwood Metros, 3-0 in Jr. B. Austin Taylor had the game winner. Kent, New Brunswick dropped the Kensington Vipers, 6-1.
The Central Attack over Mid Isle, 6-1 in Bantam AAA.
Jeremy McKenna got his 9th and 10th goals of the season and had an assist as Moncton doubled Acadie-Bathurst, 6-3 in the Q. Jordan Spence added two assists.
Derek Gentile had the game winner as Cape Breton slammed Drummondville, 8-3. Saint John edged Victoriaville, 3-2 in overtime on a goal by Jeremie Poirier.
The Chicago Black Hawks built up a 3-0 lead and then held off the Toronto Maple Leafs, 5-4.
Mark Scheifele scored in overtime as Winnipeg got by Dallas, 3-2.
Philadelphia went to a shootout to edge Boston, 3-2.
Connor McDavid with a hat-trick as Edmonton bounced Anaheim. 6-2
New Jersey trimmed Vancouver, 2-1. Detroit over Las Vegas, 3-2. Florida beat the NY Rangers, 6-5 in overtime.
Pascal Siakam scored 24 points and had 11 rebounds as the Toronto Raptors downed the LA Lakers, 113-104 in the NBA.
The Edmonton Eskimos dropped Montreal, 37-29 while Winnipeg upended Calgary, 35-14 in the CFL division semi-finals.

The Charlottetown Islanders will try to snap a two game losing skid on home ice when they host the Gatineau Olympique in the Q today at 3.00 at the Eastlink Centre.
The Islanders are tied with Cape Breton for second in the Maritimes. Both teams are 3 points back of first place Moncton.
The Olympique have lost 14 of 20 games so far this season but has won 4 of the last 5.
