Former Charlottetown Mayor Clifford Lee has ended his tenure as a special advisor for PEI’s housing action plan. He was hired in August, 2018. The Department of Transportation has confirmed his role has been fulfilled as government enters the second phase of the action plan.
Lee worked with 12 municipalities on solutions on housing such as land contributions and zoning bylaw incentives. He worked with 75 private developers and others toward those incentives.
During his tenure more than 250 housing units began.
The task now in phase two moves to PEI’s Department of Social Development and Housing.
