Some Maritime Electric customers have been hit with a scam text message claiming to be from the electric company saying that due to an overbilling issue funds are being sent by Maritime Electric. It asks you to provide banking information.
But it’s a scam.
Maritime Electric says it does not communicate billing or any account information via text messages.
