50, 000 customers were without power this morning according to Maritime Electric.
Repair crews out this morning beginning at 7.00. Emergency crews were on standby during the night. 40 crews were out assessing damage.
There are lots of downed trees on power lines and poles are down.
Winds gusted up to 141 K on the north shore.
Sustained winds were around 121 KM/H at 3.30 a.m. on the north side.
The centre of the storm passed through the north shore around 12.30 a.m.
The Confederation Bridge was closed to all traffic just before 8.30 last night.
Northumberland Ferries did not run on Saturday.
In downtown Charlottetown and other parts of the city, power was out for about an hour just before 5 last evening.
Maritime Electric crews restored it and the lights stayed on in the downtown all night.

The RCMP and Montague Fire Department were on the scene Beck’s Home Furniture in Montague where the roof was partially torn off and power lines down in the area on Saturday evening.
People were being asked to stay due to debris from the roof and the dangerous power lines.

A large tree came down on Mount Edward Road.
Charlottetown Police closed Mount Edward between Woodlawn and Hillside.
