Funeral mass for former CHTN Sports Director Rob Landry will be held on Monday at St. Pius X Church. He passed away suddenly last Tuesday at Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 53.
The Summerside native was best known as the play-by-play voice of the PEI Senators in the American Hockey League between 1993 and 1996.
He later joined Cooke Insurance in the late 1990’s.
Condolences have been coming from many people including LPGA golfer Lorie Kane, a good friend of the family, plus Don MacAdam, who was the first coach of the PEI Senators and many others including Boston Bruins great Bobby Orr plus many colleagues in the broadcast industry. He was a life long Bruins fan.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10.00 at St. Pius the X Church.
Rob was known for his warm smile, his kindness and generosity and love for life and his family.
He leaves behind his wife Stephanie and daughters Annika and Sydney.
