One person was taken to hospital as a result of Sunday’s fire at the North Winds Motel property in Brackley Beach. Officials say they were a guest of the motel and they were being treated for minor burns. Firefighters from seven different departments responded to the blaze, which broke out at about 4:00pm in the afternoon. With their efforts, the fire was contained and under control by about 6:00. The fire destroyed a building that is separate from the motel’s main complex.
