The number of hours where you have to put money in parking meters in downtown Charlottetown could be extended.
Right now commissionaires work until 4.00 checking for violators even though the city bylaw allows for enforcement until 6.00 in the evening.
Charlottetown Deputy Police Chief Brad MacConnell is proposing the idea of having the enforcement run until 6.
He says it would not be a year round issue but rather in the busy summer months.
The Deputy Chief is looking for input from the public.
He says consultation is needed before any decision is made.
